There is risk and opportunity in everything we do. As the environment changes, risks and opportunities are changing quickly. Our target is to balance the control of risks and maximisation of opportunities. Risk management is a means of monitoring those changes effectively.
Risk owners have the responsibility to identify, measure, monitor, control, and report on risks to executive management, promote risk awareness and reprioritize activities as dictated by effective risk analyses. Risk owners should also be continuously monitored for new and changing risks.
Learn and understand the principles of ISO 31000 (Risk Management Standard) and processes to mitigate and manage risks that will affect future state of business. Know the essentials of Strategic Performance Management as key to risk-averse and well-managed organizations.

Seminar-Workshop Description and Benefits:

Large organizations, with complex processes, cannot function well without effective management systems. To be efficient and effective, the organization can manage its way of doing things by systemizing it. The companies always need customer-centric, risk-averse, productive, profitable, and successfully sustainable business processes and systems. The process performance must be better than as usual. Risks must be manageable. This ensures that nothing important is left out and that everyone is clear about who is responsible for doing what, when, how, why and where.

Faced with a rapidly changing business environment, organizations are now under pressure to effect dramatic performance improvements. It is not easy to manage all of these risky uncertainities and react to the changing business dynamics to be more competitive in the market. Therefore, strategic management always allows organization to be more proactive than reactive in continuously changing business dynamics to shape the future. Strategic Performance Management is the highest level to assess organizational performance and success, being mainly focused on strategy and business outcomes. Management can use these same principles when developing their plan and setting risk management objectives.

This seminar-workshop provides skills and techniques of strategic management required to design business processes, or to redesign and improve existing processes. Participants will learn to scope processes and to model organizations, value chains and specific processes using graphical models, and they will learn how to define strategic measurement techniques for evaluating outcomes.

At the end of the seminar, the participants will understand the principles of ISO 31000 Risk Management Standard. The participants will see that risk management process is an integral part of management, embedded in the culture and practices, and tailored to the business processes of the organization. It is a fact that the success of a company is more related to how their management team manage their processes, risks and strategies simultaneously.
